Grand brings Sunday brunch to your hometown

Srinagar, July 11: Want to go on outing with your family on Sunday? The Grand Palace can bring some taste to your outing. The intercontinental hotel overlooking the world famous Dal Lake here has started for the first time a special feast, the brunch, particularly for the locals here.
The brunch, enjoyed between the breakfast and the lunchtime, has been started for the first time by the hotel in Srinagar, said Chef De Cuisine, The Grand Palace, Tarun Kapoor.
Maintaining that Sunday brunch parties are becoming favorite among locals, Kapoor said, "We serve around 60 customers on Sunday coming for the brunch."
"The brunch is served in the shade of Chinars amid the peaceful ambiance of the intercontinental hotel. The lavish buffets and live cooking stations give a unique experience to the guests," said Manager, Grand Palace, Ajaz Samad.
"The ambiance is quite informal, so you'll feel completely comfortable dropping in for an early breakfast, lingering over a leisurely lunch or satisfying a midnight craving," he said.
"People say eyes are always bigger than your stomach, and flying pan has proved that with the brunch feast served here at Grand," he said.
This Sunday feast included an array of northern and southern temptations from pasta and barbecue and a selection of other veg and non-veg dishes.
The Grand Palace began its storied history in 1910 as the Maharaja's residential palace.
"Restored to its original glory, the heritage hotel envelops guests with a sense of bygone grandeur," General Manager, Grand Palace, Rajesh Gupta, said.
Not far from the palace are impressive sites like Shankaracharya Temple, Hazratbal Mosque, Hari Parbat, and Chashmashahi garden.
"Don't miss the Sunday brunch it's a feast meant for locals," insists Rajesh.
"All the amenities at The Grand Hotel are nice and state-of-the-art technology make it a delight," he said.
